Rising from humble beginnings and limited education, he defied the odds to become an internationally acclaimed performer, songwriter and guitarist. His inspiring story has earned him two Grammy nominations and an Honorary Doctorate from Stellenbosch University.. We want to celebrate this legend while also raising awareness and support for the arts and culture in South Africa.
